Target Students: Every brave student who is willing to think and discuss complex philosophical and political issues at the beginning of the morning.
Course Description & Goals: The study of politics includes not only how the political world operates, but also how it ought to operate. The course focuses on some of the most important contemporary political thoughts that has been presented with in the last decades. The goal of the course is to provide students with theoretical musculature to think further about politics.
Prerequisite: None. The course is open to all students, especially non-native English speakers. If space permits, every student is welcome to attend the lectures.
Course Requirements: The purpose of this course is to increase understanding of the material discussed in the lectures, as well as to provide opportunities for students to exchange ideas and views about that material. This means that in addition to regular class, a significant portion of the course will be discussion(!). Students are expected to participate in occasional discussions and actively participate in class. To be successful in this course, it is important to aware that attendance is not equivalent to participation. I want you to wake up during class.
LearnUs Requirements: We use LearnUs for online discussion and Wiki.
Grading Policy: Final grade in this course will be based on the following criteria.

All the readings will be posted on the LearnUs. Reading will be about 20-30 pages per week, depending on the difficulty. (The philosophical or theoretical readings will tend to be more difficult than some of the others.) Note that many of the readings in this class are required(!) rather than recommended, to give students with a deeper interest in the subject matter a ready opportunity to discuss further.
